About Us

First Responder Voice is a leading source for information, news and analysis about FirstNet, America’s first nationwide public safety broadband network, and public safety communications more generally. FirstNet does not include mission critical voice capabilities and should not replace land mobile radios (LMRs).

Our Mission

First Responder Voice strives to be a resource for all public safety stakeholders – professional and volunteer, urban and rural – to learn more about FirstNet and other developments related to critical communications and public safety. On this website, you will find downloadable fact sheets and other educational materials you can share with colleagues alongside specialized toolkit materials you can use to help advocate for yourself, your department and other first responders.

Our intention is for you to leave First Responder Voice feeling educated, empowered and ready to take action in your community.

If there is information that you think would be helpful for first responders that you don’t see on this website, please let us know at [email protected].
